A 57-year-old Enmore, East Coast Demerara resident is now in police custody after a quantity of cannabis was found at his home today.
A party of police officers from Regional Division 4’C’ led by a Senior Superintendent, carried out an intelligence led operation at the home of suspect, where a black bag containing two transparent parcels with the cannabis, a quantity of tobacco leaves and $70,600 cash were uncovered.
The man was subsequently arrested and placed in custody.
The cannabis was weighed and amounted to 506 grams.
Investigations are ongoing.
