The naked body of an unidentified man was found lying on the northern carriageway of New Road, Vreed-en-Hoop last night. The body bore lacerations to the head and other segments.
The body was picked up by police and escorted to the West Demerara Regional Hospital. There it was seen and examined by a doctor, who pronounced the man dead on arrival.
The body is presently at the West Demerara Regional Hospital mortuary awaiting identification and a post-mortem examination. Investigations are ongoing.
