Acting on information, A party of policemen went to a house in Pike Street, North Sophia, around 03:00hrs this morning, where a quantity of cannabis and ammunition were found.
During the search, ranks observed that a black bulky plastic bag was thrown out from a window of the said house. Same was opened and it contained a quantity of cannabis leaves, seeds, and stems.
The building was being occupied by six persons at the time. The cannabis was shown to them and they all denied knowledge or ownership.
They were subsequently arrested. A further search was conducted and about 30 feet from the house, a black garbage plastic bag was seen between some bushes. It contained eight parcels of cannabis leaves, seeds, and stems.
Also, one white plastic bucket with a small rice bag containing 190 live .45 ammunition was unearthed.
The cannabis that was seen thrown out from the window was weighed and amounted to 55 grams, the other cannabis found in the bushes was weighed and amounted to 13.166 kilograms.
