See full statement from the Leader of the A Partnership for National Unity + Alliance for Change (APNU+AFC), Joseph Harmon on the APNU’s 10th Anniversary:

APNU is today celebrating its 10 years since its establishment in July 2011 under the theme Stronger Together. During those 10 years we have seen a decade of exponential growth in the number of Guyanese supporting us as a partnership.

I believe that Guyanese people want to see the Partnership continue to represent their interests and take them back into government.

When we were established at our first launch meeting the chairman of the partnership made a clarain call for us to find common ground in the National Political discourse and that Guyana must move from our thinking as a plantation to that of a Nation.

At the celebration of our third anniversary, our chairman Brigadier David Arthur Granger said, “despite its parliamentary majority (in the 10th Parliament) and our efforts to engage the PPP/C administration to improve governance this continued to be refused by the administration.

Today after 10 years the PPP has returned to its old habit of refusing to engage in the Development and Governance of this country.

The APNU remains a dynamic force that will give leadership in the legislative process and in the country at large.

We welcome our new partners: The Equal Rights and Justice Party and Guyana Nation Builders Movement to the fold and encourage you to stay focused on the mission ahead to win back the Government of Guyana in the shortest possible time.

Happy 10th Anniversary to all, I thank you
