The Ministry of Health (MOH) has informed that two more persons, who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), have died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 551.
The latest fatalities are two males, a 48-year-old and a 62-year-old from Region 4 (Demerara-Mahaica). They both died while receiving care at a medical facility.
Additionally, Guyana has recorded 62 additional cases, taking the number of confirmed cases since March 2020 to 22,705.
Eleven persons are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Some 21,452 persons have since recovered.
