Three persons, including the man, who police say is the getaway driver in a daring gold heist last week, are wanted by police.
Antonio Maraj called ‘Pluckin’ or ‘Thuggy’ is wanted by the police for questioning concerning Robbery Under Arms committed on the business place, Wallison Enterprise, on August 5, 2021. His last know address is Leopold Street, Georgetown, and is said to have also resided at Agricola, East Bank Demerara (EBD), and Buxton on the East Coast of Demerara (ECD). Maraj is listed as a “principal offender”, He was allegedly seen on CCTV footage robbing the victims.
Dequan King called ‘Titus’ or ‘Quanie’ is also wanted. His last known address is Lot 20 ‘D’ Field Sophia, ECD. King is believed to be the driver of the motorcar, PXX 2237, that was used to transport the suspects, who robbed the Gordon Street, Kitty business of $58M in cash and raw gold.
That car was found yesterday. King allegedly purchased a ‘canter load’ of household items a day after the robbery before reportedly departing for the interior, sources say.
Wanted also, is Jamal Hazel of Guyhoc Park, Georgetown. He is a former member of the Guyana Police Force. He was also seen on CCTV footage robbing the victims.

So far, two security guards and a serving member of the Guyana Police Force have been charged for the heist.
Peon Lee, 35, a security guard of Lot 1781 Second Street, Mocha, Keyon king, 32, a Sergeant attached at the Guyana Police Force (GDF), and Delroy Jackson, 37, a security guard of Kendal Street, Golden Grove, East Bank Demerara, appeared before Principal Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts on Tuesday last. They were slapped with four joint charges.
