A 23-year-old man is now in police custody for stealing a cow at Rose Hall, Corentyne.
Enquiries revealed that around 01:20hrs this morning, a party of police ranks were on motorcycle patrol within the Rose Hall Town Station District, when they observed an animal which was tied with a rope around its neck being pulled by a man across the J.C. Chandisingh Public Road.
When the man saw the ranks, he quickly abandoned the animal and ran away to an unknown location.
The ranks took possession of the said animal and took same to the Rose Hall Town Police Outpost.
Subsequently, upon patrolling the said area, the man was immediately arrested and placed in custody pending further investigations.
