The Guyana Oil & Gas Energy Chamber (GOGEC), will be organizing a high-level international oil and gas energy conference in February 2022.
Guyana Standard understands that the event will aim to have a broader energy discussion beyond oil and gas within the context of an energy transition agenda. Organizers of the conference said this will be in keeping with the country’s energy targets that are also linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Furthermore, the Conference is intended to bring together both international and local investors as well as policymakers to advance Guyana’s energy transformation and transition agenda.
Cognizant of the COVID-19 pandemic and the regulations in place, the event will be facilitated by way of a blend of both virtual and in-person (physical) sessions.
This is being organized in partnership with several local and international companies as well the major private sector organizations.
The event will also be supported by the Government of Guyana.
