Orlando Fredrick, 35, was pronounced dead on arrival to the Linden Hospital Complex after he was reportedly run over by a vehicle at 16 Miles Rockstone Trail around 01:00hrs this morning.
Police say that Orlando was lying on the road when he was run over. The type of vehicle is unknown at this time.
He was picked up by public-spirited citizens in an unconscious condition and taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
His body is presently at the Pensioners Mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination.
Investigations are ongoing.
