A 63-year-old, female shopkeeper was robbed by a knife-wielding man last night around 20:15hrs at Industry Housing Scheme, East Coast Demerara.
Police said that the victim was in the process of securing her shop when the suspect jumped the fence and held her sister at knifepoint.
The suspect then escorted the woman into the shop where he relieved the shopkeeper of $35,000 and a quantity of Digicel and GTT phone cards (value unknown).
The suspect remains at large as investigations continue.
