A 42-year-old food vendor was robbed last night at Wisroc Housing Scheme, police say.
Enquiries disclosed that the victim, who resides alone, was in her home cooking while her front patio door was left open.
She observed a male with a red handkerchief tied around his face covering his nose, mouth, and chin coming through her door brandishing a small silver handgun demanding money and gold.
She told him she did not have any money after which he threatened to shoot her.
The perpetrator placed the victim to lay on her bedroom floor and began to ransack her house while demanding money and gold.
He went into her purse which was in her bedroom and removed $65,000 cash before walking briskly through the victim’s back door and made good his escape into the dark area.
The victim later went to the Wisroc Police Outpost and made a report.
No one was injured and no round was discharged.
Investigations are ongoing.
