The Ministry of Health (MOH) says that two more persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 928.
The latest fatalities are an 83-year-old, fully vaccinated, Region One man; and an 80-year-old, unvaccinated woman from Region Four. They both died on November 1, while receiving treatment.
Guyana has also recorded an additional 81 cases of the virus, taking the number of confirmed infections since March 2020 to 35, 800.
There are 18 persons housed in the intensive care unit, with 2,455 in home isolation.
