Police this morning intercepted a silver-gray Toyota Sienta motorcar # HC 4153 in vicinity of Vlissengen Road and Brickdam, Georgetown, which contained 13.680 kilogrammes (equivalent to about 30lbs) of cannabis sativa.
The driver, along with two other occupants, were arrested.
A search was conducted on the car and 28 parcels wrapped with transparent plastic containing cannabis leaves, seeds and stems were found in the back seat and the trunk.
The men were told of the offence committed, cautioned, arrested, and escorted to Brickdaam Police Station along with the cannabis and the motor vehicle.
The cannabis was weighed in their presence.
