Daniel Mc Arthur, 20, a Security Officer of Lot 22 South Vryheid Lust, East Coast Demerara, will serve time in jail after he was charged yesterday for robbery under arms, two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and two counts of unlawful possession of ammunition.
He appeared before Magistrate Mr. Bess at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court where he pleaded guilty to Robbery Under Arms and was sentenced to two years, six months’ imprisonment.
Additionally, he pleaded guilty to one count of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment. He also pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful possession of ammunition and was sentenced to one-year imprisonment.
These sentences are to run concurrently.
However, he pleaded not guilty to one count of unlawful possession of a firearm and one count of possession of ammunition.
As a result, the matter was adjourned until December 5, 2021.
