Six persons, including a woman, were arrested yesterday after cops found an air pistol, 10 12-gauge cartridges, 31 .45 rounds, 14 .38 rounds and 49 M15 rounds in a Bourda Street home.
Guyana Standard understands that the search party met the suspects gathered at the location.
The ranks informed them of their reasons for being there and a 19-year-old male identified himself as the caretaker of the property.
A search was requested and he gave permission. They were all taken into the house where a search was conducted.
Whilst searching in a bedroom, an air pistol inside a cardboard box was unearthed. A further search revealed the aforementioned ammunition.
They were all told of the offence committed and cautioned. They denied knowing the items and were all arrested and placed into custody.
The air pistol and ammunition are presently lodged. Investigation in progress.
