Three more persons who tested positive for COVID-19 have died, Guyana’s Health Ministry said today. The country’s death count now stands at 997.

Guyana has also recorded an additional 77 cases of the virus, taking confirmed infections since March 2020 to a staggering 37,951.
There are 17 persons in the Intensive Care Unit, 57 in institutional isolation, two in quarantine, and 1,162 in home isolation. Recoveries currently stand at 35,718.
