The Ministry of Health (MOH) has informed that as of December 06, 2021, two more persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 1008.
Guyana has also recorded 57 new cases of the virus, taking the number of infections since virus confirmation in March 2020 to 38,217. According to the Ministry, 17 persons are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 872 in home isolation, four in institutional quarantine, and 52 in institutional isolation.
So far, 36,268 persons have recovered.
