Two more persons, who tested positive for COVID-19, have died, the Health Ministry said today. The latest fatalities – two Region Six men, ages 45 and 84, died while receiving care at medical institutions. They were unvaccinated.
The death count is now 1,016.
Guyana also recorded 51 new cases within the last 24 hours, taking confirmed infections since March 2020 to 38,453. There are 14 persons housed in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 46 in institutional isolation, four in institutional quarantine, and 743 in home isolation.
