An 18-year-old and 19-year-old were robbed last night around 20:15hrs at Yong’s Chinese Restaurant, Pouderoyen, West Bank Demerara (WBD).
Enquiries disclosed that the victims were standing on the western side of the road waiting on their order when the suspect, who was on the opposite side of the road, ran over and pointed a black handgun at them. He told them not to move and relieved them of one black wallet containing $45,000 and one black A21s cellphone valued $35,000.
The suspect then ran away and made good his escape.
A report was made and checks were made for the suspect but he was not contacted. Investigations are ongoing.
