Newly elected Chairman of the People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR), Shurwayne Holder says that rebuilding, repositioning and learning from its mistakes are vital to ousting the governing People’s Progressive Pary/Civic (PPP/C) at the next General and Regional Elections in 2025. The Member of Parliament, during a recent online interview, did not shy away from the “mistakes” of the PNCR. He said that all parties make mistakes but learning from those blunders is essential.
Holder was elected Chairman at the last biennial Congress held earlier this month. The party also saw the election of a new Leader, Aubrey Norton, who replaced David Granger.
“I understand what obtained while we were in government…I wouldn’t say that we have not made mistakes. All political parties make mistakes and so, it is important that we learn from those mistakes…I dare say that this is a reinvigorated PNCR. Our party has been given new life. We will unite, we will rebuild this party and we will reposition it to win the next elections,” Holder said in response to questions posed by “Politics 101” Host, Dr David Hinds.
Holder vowed that the PNCR will go all out to represent citizens amid the ‘pressure’ allegedly brought on by the governing People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C).
“We will confront them, we will oppose them, we do everything that is necessary, everything that is in our power to ensure that we first curb their excesses, hold them accountable. We will position ourselves to put them out of office and bring good governance once again to this country in a manner that will reflect the will of the people, that will satisfy the entire nation. That is our ultimate goal at this time,” the Chairman said.
