Guyana has recorded an additional 1,186 cases of COVID-19, as the country continues to witness a surge in infections. The number of confirmed infections since March 2020 has now reached 48,191 from 459,539 tests.
There are 13 patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 121 in institutional isolation, 8,413 in home isolation, and eight in institutional quarantine. The death count is 1,075.
