An 87-year-old, fully vaccinated Region Four man is Guyana’s 1,096th COVID-19 fatality. He died today, the Health Ministry reported earlier this afternoon.
The country has also recorded 892 new cases, taking the number of infections since March 2020 to 52,095 from 473,250 tests.
There are 15 patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 158 in institutional isolation, 11,196 in home isolation and four in institutional quarantine. So far, 39,630 persons have recovered.
