Five more persons, who were tested positive for COVID-19, have died, taking Guyana’s death toll to 1,101.

The country also recorded 1,083 new cases. The number of confirmed infections since March 2020 is now 53,178 from 478,261 tests.
There are now 18 persons in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 181 in institutional isolation, 11,887 in home isolation and 11 in institutional quarantine.
So far, 39,991 persons have recovered.
