Guyana’s Health Ministry has informed the media that eight more persons who tested positive for COVID-19, have died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 1,130.
The details on the latest fatalities are below:
The country has also recorded another 957 confirmed cases of the virus, taking confirmed infections since March 2020 to 56,585 from 491,635 tests.
There are 16 patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 117 in institutional isolation, 13,050 in home isolation, and 20 in institutional quarantine.
Some 42,212 persons have recovered to date.
