The common-law husband of murder victim Edith Reuben and another male were charged today with her murder.
Forty-one-year-old Dianand Lakhan of lot 1286 Yarrowkabra, Soesdyke/Linden Highway and 36-year-old Aubrey Williams of Yarrowkabra Squatting Area, Soesdyke Linden were arrested on February 8 and 11, 2022 respectively and jointly charged with the capital offence which was laid contrary to the Common Law of the Laws of Guyana.
The two accused appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrate’s Court where they were not required to plea.
They were both remanded to prison until March 3, 2022.
Reuben, 48, was found hanging from a mango tree a few days ago at lot 1286 Yarrawkabra, Soesdyke Linden Highway.
