A 21- year-old man was fatally shot during the wee hours of this morning, while he was at the home of his girlfriend in East La Pentience, Georgetown.
Guyana Standard understands that Gittens was shot by a man who was wearing a dress and a wig.
It is said that Gittens was in the room with his girlfriend but stepped out to investigate after hearing a loud noise.
He was met with bullets and the shooter was quick to make good his escape.
Police were told that the killer was clad in female attire.
It is unclear whether these reports came from neighbors or the dead man’s girlfriend.
Police suspect the killer to be an aggrieved relative of the girlfriend.
