As of February 20th, 2022, two more persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 1,213.
The latest fatalities are a 56-year-old Region Five woman and an 83-year-old, Region Four man.
Guyana has also recorded 12 new cases, taking confirmed infections since March 2020 to 62,668 from 532,757 tests.
There are 11 persons in the ICU, 68 in institutional isolation, 772 in home isolation, and four in institutional quarantine.
So far, 60,604 persons have recovered.
