Eighteen-year-old Claudius James was today hauled before Principal Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts as he is accused of attempted murder.
James was charged with unlawfully and maliciously wounding the 15 year old with intent to murder him on February 22 at the Stabroek Market tarmac, Georgetown.
James was not required to plead to the charge.
He was remanded until March 21.
The Prosecutor told the court that the two teens had an issue which stemmed from a long time ago. He said that the defendant, his brother and Murray saw each other on Tuesday when a fight ensued between the three of them.
The fifteen year old was then hospitalized after being stabbed to the region of his heart. He has lung failure also.
