The Guyana Manufacturing and Services Association (GMSA) announced today that it has appointed Nizam Hassan as its Executive Director and Travis Bruce as its Corporate Communications Specialist.
GMSA said Hassan will be managing the Secretariat while promoting and delivering the Association’s objectives under the guidance of the Board of Directors.
With respect to his experience, Guyana Standard understands that Hassan has worked for over 30 years in the management of micro, small, and medium-sized businesses across Guyana especially those with an gricultural background. During his career, Mr. Hassan who holds an MBA in Business Administration, was very instrumental in the creation of leading campaigns in the agricultural sector which promoted the development and expansion of value-added products in agriculture.
As for Bruce, the Association said he will be responsible for public relations and promoting the GMSA brand, products and services to potential, new and existing members.
This news agency understands that Bruce has over four years of combined experience in media and public engagement. He has led programmes and policy discussions with key stakeholders regarding current affairs in Guyana. He is also a youth advocate who is passionate about making a difference in the landscape of Guyana.
GMSA believes the duo makes a great addition to the team and will further enhance the internal and external operations.
