After being out of service for some six years, the Lady Janet is finally up and running and will soon serve residents in the Upper and Lower Pomeroon area.
Residents will soon be able to experience a significant improvement in the delivery of oral health care services, following the commissioning of the 2.4M dental boat on Monday.
The fully equipment dental boat will be managed by Senior Dental Surgeon, Sabrieba Harrychan who will be assisted by a Dentex and Dental Assistant.
Together, they will provide oral examination, extraction, dental cleaning and oral health education.
Present at the simple ribbon-cutting ceremony at Charity Waterfront were Dr Frank Anthony, Minister of Health; Hon. Nigel Dharamlall, Minister of Local Government and Regional Development and other Senior Officers from the Ministry of Health and the Regional Democratic Council of Region Two.
