A motorcyclist opted to discard a bag of weed and abandon his XR motorcycle after he was approached by a police patrol vehicle last Monday around 22:00hrs at Millie’s Hide Out, Amelia’s Ward, Linden.
According to police, upon seeing the vehicle, the man bolted with police ranks in pursuit. He evaded the ranks by running into some “thick vegetation”.
The bulky bag was retrieved and when opened, cops found two parcels of cannabis, which amounted to 7,484 grammes (16.5lbs).
Police said they are continuing the search for the man as investigations continue.
