The hunt is now on for a man who shot a 30-year-old Taxi Driver of Soesdyke, East Bank Demerara at Freedom Bar Night Club, Soesdyke.
Reporting on the incident this morning, the Guyana Police Force said that
the incident occurred sometime around 01:30hrs on March 17, last.
Guyana Standard understands that the victim went to the bar with friends where they were imbibing when the suspect – an identifiable male – approached him, withdrew a silver handgun from the waist of his pants and shot him on his left leg.
The suspect thereafter made good his escape in an unknown direction. The victim was immediately taken to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre and later transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital for advanced medical treatment, where he was admitted.
Investigations are ongoing.
