Police are investigating a fatal incident which occured on Thursday about 04:15hrs on the Windsor Forest Public Road, West Coast Demerara.
The accident involved motorcar PSS 3117, driven by Kelvin Ghisiawan, age unknown, of Samatta Point, Grove, East Bank Demerara.
Enquiries disclosed that the vehicle was proceeding east along the road at a fast rate when the driver lost control of it.
The car swerved in a southern direction and subsequently collided into a concrete bridge.
As a result of the impact, the car was extensively damaged and the driver along with two occupants who were seated in the back of the vehicle, Alyna Deoliver, 12, and Josiemla Mafra, 6, both of Kaneville, East Bank Demerara, received injuries about their bodies.
The driver was picked up in an unconscious condition while the two children were conscious.
They were all rushed to the West Demerara Regional Hospital, where the driver was pronounced dead on arrival.
The two occupants were examined, but admitted as patients at the said hospital.
Alyna Deoliver was admitted for observation and Josiemal Mafra was admitted suffering from a broken left leg and injuries about her body.
