Cops in Regional Division 10 are investigating the alleged damaging of a 212 Toyota Motorcar (HB 4084) by an unknown person.
The vehicle is the property of a 39-year-old man of Wismar, Linden.
The incident occurred between 19:00hrs and 21:15hrs on Thursday.
According to the owner, at about 21:15hrs, he and his wife were interrupted from their sleep by a loud explosion and upon investigating, he saw the car, which was parked in his yard, completely engulfed in flames.
The man, assisted by his wife, managed to put the fire out.
Investigations are ongoing.
