The partially decomposed body of Roystan Lam, a 60-year-old man of Bachelor’s Adventure East Coast Demerara, was found around 17:45 hrs last evening at his home.
Commander for Regional Division #4 ‘C’, Senior Superintendent Khali Pareshram said the scene was visited by the police yesterday around 18:10hrs
Enquiries disclosed that Roystan Lam resided alone in a one-storey wooden structure. He was last seen alive on April 29, by neighbours. At about 17:55hrs last evening, his cousin visited his residence and called several times but got no answer. A foul smell was emanating from the house. The cops were summoned, and they found the man lying on his back.
The scene was processed and photographed by the police.
The home was not ransacked, and no foul play suspected. Several persons were questioned and information received indicate that the man suffered from hypertension.
Investigations are in progress.
