Terry Fraser, a 36-year-old Guyana Defense Force Corporal was found dead around 06:00hrs today at the Belladrum Seawall Dam, West Coast Berbice.
Cops say that Fraser and his “child mother” were having domestic problems and she subsequently secured a restraining order against him.
According to Fraser’s sister, she was at home when she received information from a friend that Fraser was seen running along the sea dam shouting that he will kill himself.
As a result, the family went looking for him. On arrival at the sea dam, they saw Fraser lying on his back. He was bleeding from a wound on his throat.
He was rushed to the Fort Wellington Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival by Doctor Erskine. His body is lying at the Bailey’s Funeral Parlour awaiting a post-mortem examination.
