A 46-year-old Coldingen, East Coast Demerara man is expected to be charged soon after cops found marijuana and ammunition in his home three days ago.
Investigators found a tansparent plastic bag in the kitchen area that contained several zip-lock bags with cannabis leaves, seeds and stems.
A further search was carried out by the police ranks in the bedroom where two 12- guage cartridges were found in a chest of drawers.
Same was brought to the suspect’s attention. He was cautioned but denied ownership.
He was then escorted to the Vigilance Police Station where the cannabis was weighed in his presence and amounted to 42.2 grams.
The cannabis was placed into an evidence bag, sealed, marked and lodged with the station sergeant.
Investigations are ongoing.
