Cops in Regional Division 10 are investigating the murder of 28-year-old Joshua Dianid, a truck driver of Kwakwani Staff Hill, Upper Berbice river. The incident occurred on Sunday at around 02:10 hrs at Bushpool, Kwakwani Staff Hill.
According to reports, Dianid was found drinking beers with the suspect’s wife, which led to an argument between himself and his assailant. The suspect, armed with a broken bottle, stabbed both Dianid and his wife before making his escape.
The victims were rushed to the Kwakwani Hospital Complex, where Dianid succumbed to his injuries. The woman is said to be in a stable condition. The suspect remains on the run. Investigations are ongoing.
