Police are investigating the death of a teen who was reportedly murdered by a mentally unstable man in New Amsterdam, Berbice.
Dead is 14-year-old Carlos Leung. The man reportedly went berserk and used a knife to stab the teen in his arms repeatedly.
He then reportedly threw Leung into a nearby trench and held him underwater until he was motionless. Police in the area said a friend of the teen was also injured during the ordeal.
