Cops on Monday discovered a quantity of marijuana hidden in the backyard of a businessman at Honey Camp Landing, Middle Mazaruni River.
Acting on information received, the ranks went to the businessman’s premises, where they found a five-gallon bucket in a dug up area. The bucket contained two bulky parcels of cannabis.
The 45-year-old businessman, who hails from Wismar, Linden, was told of the offence committed and cautioned.
He was later escorted to Issano Police Station along with the narcotics which was weighed in his presence and amounted to 2413.9 grams.
The narcotics was sealed and lodged while the businessman remains in custody assisting with the investigation.
