The simple ceremony was held at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre with the attendance of the Minister of Housing and Water, Collin Croal; Chief Executive Officer of CHPA, Sherwyn Greaves; CHPA Director of Projects, Omar Narine; and Deputy Director, Intakab Indarjeet.

Minister Croal charged the contractors to mobilize as quickly as possible and to complete the projects in an efficient and timely manner. He also urged them to work with the Ministry and CHPA to communicate any issues that may arise along the project timelines. CEO Greaves also urged the contractors to ensure their work matches necessary standards and to keep in mind the importance of the projects to Guyanese.
