A man, claiming to have insider connections at the Ministry of Housing, has been caught red-handed in a sting operation on Regent Street.
Andre Defreitas, 30, Lot 159 Cow Pen Street Eccles, East Bank Demerara, who claimed to be the owner of Prime Investments, was arrested on Tuesday after allegedly accepting $100,000 in marked money from undercover officers. He is being questioned at the Brickdam Police Station.
