Ronald Romney, a 36-year-old Berbician labourer who was arrested three days ago for the attempted murder of Steffon Barron at Matthew Allen Road, New Amsterdam, Berbice, was today remanded to prison.
The accused who was charged under Section 103 (c) of the Criminal Law (Offence) Act Chapter 8:01, appeared at the New Amsterdam Magistrate’s Court before magistrate R.Singh, where the charge was read to him.
He was not required to plead and was subsequently remanded to prison until May 20, 2023.
