The remains of Police Constable, Quincy Lewis have been found along the Linden/Soesdyke Highway. This was confirmed by a usually reliable source close to the investigation.
Earlier today, detectives arrested two suspects. During interrogation, the men told detectives that Lewis was murdered and dumped on the highway.
The men told detectives that he was murdered due an alleged affair he had with a woman. Lewis, on the day he met his demise, was lured to the woman’s home and then murdered. The alleged confession brings closure to a three year long investigation.
Lewis was last seen alive on the afternoon of June 19, 2020, when he left in his friend’s car, PTT 7541, to report for work. On June 26, 2020, Lewis’ family filed a ‘missing person’ report at the La Parfaite Harmonie Police Station after he failed to turn up to his post at the Agricola Police Station.
An investigation was launched and a review of CCTV footage of various points on the Demerara Harbour Bridge showed that Lewis did cross it, presumably on his way to work.
A few months later, Lewis’ cell phone was found along Timehri, East Bank Demerara (EBD) Public Road, with the screen cracked.
