Police are investigating the death of a 54-year-old ‘Pitman’ of Parika, East Bank Essequibo, who was found lying on his back at 147KM Sands Landing, Buck Hall, Cuyuni River.
The man, identified only as Anthony, reportedly suffered from epilepsy and had a seizure attack before leaving the Sands Backdam. He was later found motionless on the ground by a crew member and taken to Aranka Police Station before being transported to Bartica. Bruises were observed on his lower back, ears, and head. Investigations are ongoing.
