In the project summaries recently submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), TideWater Inc. outlined its intentions to provide targeted support services for the Liza Destiny Development, Liza Unity Development, and several drillships, including Stena Carron Fangtooth SE 1, Stena DrillMax Tarpon 1A, Noble Don Taylor_PY 2i1, Noble Sam Croft PC_1i1, Noble Bob Douglas LIZ_5i5 SHZ, and Noble Tom Madden PY_2i6. These services encompass a wide range of operational aspects necessary for smooth offshore operations.
Regarding its bunkering services in the Corentyne Block’s Wei-1 well, TideWater Inc. said it intends to deliver fuel to sustain the drillships while also handling the logistics of loading and distributing fuel among the available shipboard tanks. Currently, the well has been successfully drilled to a depth of 19,142 feet. However, it is important to note that the drilling costs have escalated from the initial estimate of US$160 million to a range of US$175 million to US$190 million.
Additionally, the project summaries highlight TideWater Inc.’s strong commitment to addressing fuel consumption and minimizing emissions of CO2, SO2, and NOx in its operations. The company acknowledged that the running of ship’s machinery constitutes its most significant environmental aspect.
