Romel Singh, 23, of lot 9 Republic Park, East Bank Demerara (EBD) was charged today with two offences of break and enter.
The court was told that Singh allegedly broke into a bond owned by Vitality Supplies Inc., located at Peter’s Hall, EBD, where he reportedly stole a quantity of WD 40 spray valued at $547,430.00.
He was also charged with allegedly stealing one television set valued at $120,000 and three speakers valued at $180,000 from the Peter’s Hall Seventh Day Adventist Church of Republic Park, EBD.
He appeared at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrate’s Court before Principal Magistrate Mr Sunil Scarce where the charge was read to him, the Administrative Justice Act (AJA) was applied and he pleaded not guilty. Bail was refused, he was remanded to prison and the matter was postponed until August 7, 2023, for statements and disclosure.
