Rohan Mangal, a 25-year-old bus driver of Lot 69 Delph Street, Campbellville, Georgetown and Anjali Singh-Mangal, a 22-year-old nurse of the same address, were charged jointly today with simple larceny. The duo is accused of stealing 208 ounces of raw gold valued at $76,960,000.
The incident occurred between August 1, 2022 and July 19, 2023 at Sandy Babb Street, Kitty. They both appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court #2 before Principal Magistrate, Leron Daly, where the charge was read to them. They both pleaded not guilty.
They were granted bail in the sum of $1.5 million each, and the matter was adjourned to August 14, 2023, for a report on status of the investigation.
