Police ranks went to the Vreed-en-Hoop Stelling yesterday where they arrested a 31-year-old miner who had in his possession, 38.5 grams of suspected cocaine and 13.8 grams of marijuana.
The miner, Derwin Green, of Tuschen New Scheme was searched and the drugs were found in his right pants’ pocket.
Green told the ranks, “I just buy this thing from town fuh black girl”. He was then arrested and escorted to the Vreed-en-Hoop Police Outpost.
At the above-mentioned outpost, a rank conducted a further search on Green and found in the waist of his boxer shorts, a clear transparent plastic bag containing a quantity of cannabis leaves, seeds and stems.
The suspected cocaine was weighed in his presence and it amounted to 38.5 grams, while the marijuana was weighed and amounted to 13.8 grams.
