The Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) released Guyana’s Gas Monetization Strategy today, as promised by President, Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali and Vice President, Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo.
The ministry via a statement said this strategy is part of a pivotal roadmap for managing the nation’s significant gas resources. The agency said it also serves as a vital tool for Guyana to make informed decisions regarding the utilization of its gas resources estimated at 17 trillion cubic feet (tcf).
Guyana Standard understands that the Stabroek Block, along with the Corentyne Block, holds substantial gas resources. Ongoing exploration and appraisal activities are underway to determine the full extent of Guyana’s gas resources.
